Week 5

9. Street Photography to me: really all about people and catching them in those rare moments when they let their guard down
10. Push it to the limit. Throughout the class, I focused mainly on people (see above) but really, I guess that the setting can add a lot of context or just some areas of interest so I tried to capture people surrounded by massive buildings and such to show more of the surrounding area.

Week 4

7. The Americans Today...I was trying to work with a slow shutter speed to express motion, I was doing a lot of car shots but they didn't have people in them obviously so I chose this one. My theme was along the lines of how americans are always going going, always in motion, never still and in focus.8. People and a sense of place

Week 3

5. Focusing on gestures and expressions...perfect moment with this little girl!6. Move around/change vantage point. This assignment wasn't as successful. I was feeling insecure spending too much time photographing the same subject and trying to get them from different angles without being intrusive...and that shows in my pictures. But I chose this picture, even though I was really thinking about the gestures and expressions while I was taking pictures this little girl, because I have a lot of shots of her and her family and this best shows the assignment to me .

Week 2

3. "Zoom with your feet" or using a fixed zoom, mine was 50mm. Not technically my best shot, but I think with this one I really got the point of the assignment because it was towards the end of the day where I was getting used to getting very close to people to get the shot.4. Taken in the style of Martin Parr.
